11 bit studios, creators of This War of Mine, has joined several other eastern European studios in calling for player support in light of the escalating conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The Polish studio announced it’ll donate all profits of its anti-war game and its DLCs for the next week to a special fund. The funds raised will go to the Ukrainian Red Cross to directly support victims of the war in the country. The team also put out a statement to its fans.

“As a Polish game studio creators of the globally recognised anti-war game, This War of Mine – one that directly speaks about the suffering and misery of civilians who are affected by war – we’d like to herby announce our company statement: we stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Just words would be empty without a meaningful act though, and the timing is crucial.”

“Let this message resonate with everything you now about this war and how war kills people, devastates their lives and homes. Let us – players and developers together – do everything we can to support victims of war in Ukraine.”

As GamesIndustry.biz notes, several other games companies join them in standing behind Ukraine, including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl developer GSC Game World who are based in Kyiv itself.  “The future is unknown, but we hope for the best, are ever sure of our armed forces and our belief in Ukraine.” The company is also calling for donations to a special fundraising account set up by the National Bank of Ukraine.

Some American companies too, have pledged their support to the people of Ukraine. These include Destiny maker Bungie, who’ve pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds of their Game2Give drive in its first 48 hours.
