Assassin's Creed Odyssey will feature a reversible cover to reflect the game's two protagonists, Alexios and Kassandra.

Ubisoft's Jonathan Dumont confirmed the news during a Reddit AMA yesterday, revealing players will be able flip between Odyssey's male and female lead for the game's physical release.

Assassin's Creed has dabbled in dual protagonists before with Assassin's Creed Syndicate, although that functioned slightly differently. Unlike Odyssey, you couldn't select who you wanted to play as for the entirety of the campaign; instead, you flipped between Jacob and Evie throughout the story.

This latest entry in the throat-slitting franchise takes place in Ancient Greece, hundreds of years before last year's Assassin's Creed Origins.

From what we've seen so far, Odyssey is taking the whole Assassin's Creed-does-RPG thing one step further, introducing the likes of dialogue choices and romance options into the mix.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 5. Ubisoft also said the game is a 'service-type product,' so expect fresh content being rolled out on a weekly basis.
