Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released in regular and Hardened editions only, missing out on the franchise’s super special Prestige Edition, Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling has confirmed.
“There is no Prestige Edition, only a Hardened Edition for #MW3,” Tweeted Bowling.
Previous instalments in the Call of Duty franchise have offered a Prestige Edition, complete with items you want, but don’t really have a use for. Modern Warfare 2 started the trend with a working set of night vision goggles, while last year’s Black Ops included a working remote control RC Spy vehicle.
Modern Warfare 3 will be released November 9 and while there’s no Prestige Edition, you will be able to purchase a Modern Warfare 3 themed Xbox 360.
