Modus Games & Mane6 have announced they’re bringing My Little Pony inspired beat-em-up Them’s Fightin’ Herds to consoles later this year.

The 2D brawler first released into early access in 2018 and features a cast of horse-like creatures in classic beat-em-up action. Picking from a cast of four-legged fighters, only one of these ponies can be crowned the champion. Beneath the cute exterior lies a fairly accomplished fighter, with a four-button fighting system.

Developer Mane6 started development as a tribute to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, before Hasbro’s lawyers got involved. So they stripped out the MLP stuff, but also secured the services of series’ creator Lauren Faust for character design. She’s also helped with writing on the game’s story mode, which comes along with a bunch of other modes and features.

These include tutorial and training modes, local versus, online matchmaking and a replay system. The console launch also coincides with a new Season 1 Pass for all formats. This will include four brand new DLC fighters, stages and cosmetics. While it hasn’t given details, PC DLC has included crossovers with Blazblue, Guilty Gear and Skullgirls.
