Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch version of stylish Shibuya-inspired actioner The World Ends With You will launch this autumn.

Originally released on the DS more than a decade ago, The World Ends With You: Final Remix will hit the Big N's hybrid platform with a bunch of new features, including prettier, high-definition visuals and exclusive content.

Boasting rhythmic battles using the Switch's Joy-Con or touchscreen controls, The World Ends With You: Final Mix includes an additional scenario and remixed soundtrack, plus the chance to bring a mate along for the ride with two-player co-op.

Square Enix's acclaimed action-RPG gained a lot of attention back in 2007 for its vibrant art style and setting, which taps into the Japanese youth culture of Tokyo's Shibuya district. This is very much the case with the Switch version, which really goes to town thanks to some spruced up visual effects.

The World Ends With You: Final Mix is due for release on Switch in the US and UK on October 12.
