Telltale Games has booted The Wolf Among Us Season 2 into 2019, the developer announced in a new post on its official website.

According to the post, the sequel has been pushed back from its original late 2018 window as a result of some 'fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer.'

'Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special,' the studio added.

Back in November, Telltale announced a restructuring of the company that resulted in it laying off 25 percent of the workforce. At the time, it issued a statement saying this would not impact the release of any previously-announced titles, presumably including The Wolf Among Us Season 2.

Telltale is also currently working on the final season of its critically acclaimed The Walking Dead series, though a release date has yet to be announced.
