Developer CD Projekt RED has confirmed that it is still working on a PlayStation 4 Pro update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though it’s going to take a bit longer than originally planned.
The new update was confirmed a while back and will feature High-Dynamic Range (HDR) support among other features. However, writing in a post on Twitter, the developer revealed that it’s run into a few bugs that need ironing out before the patch can be rolled off production lines.
.@witchergame PS4 Pro HDR patch is still very much in development. Due to the fact that we’ve discovered some additional bugs along the way, we need more time to finish it. We don’t want to compromise the quality of the update, so we would like to ask you for a bit more patience.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in May 2015, and remains the best-selling entry in the fantasy role-playing game franchise to date (overall series sales recently hit 33 million worldwide). The title has seen two major expansion released during that time, namely Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone.
CD Projekt RED is currently working on the upcoming science-fiction title Cyberpunk 2077, which is rumoured to put in an appearance at E3 this summer.
