Pre-orders for upcoming title The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have reached over 100k. The game’s developer, CD Projekt RED, has announced the total had risen to 111,842 units this morning, while the Polish collector’s edition had been bought out entirely. Elsewhere the numbers for limited editions are also dwindling.
The Witcher 2 is the sequel to CD Projekt RED’s successful first release. It is set to be released on May 17 for PC. A console version has been talked about, but nothing has been announced. CD Projekt RED has stated that a console version won’t compromise the PC version.
Very happy to see a little Polish studio doing so well. We highly recommend the game to anyone interested in mature RPGs. Look out for our review next week.
