CD Projekt has finally released patch 1.1 for their recent title The Witcher 2 after running into issues earlier this week.
According to the official Witcher website issues originally arose with the patch because “there are many versions of the game and we had to test each very carefully.”
The studio has come out with a stand-alone patch along with DLC downloads, which they explain is “mainly due to the fact that game launcher in version 1.0 is not yet stable enough. Plus the server infrastructure provided by an external company is not quite bullet proof. But with the stand-alone downloads, we hope you will be able to enjoy the much improved version of the game and even better, now it’s DRM free!”
Following this new patch CD Projekt plans to improve the server structure, finalise a new forum, and repair game registration which is currently not working properly.
They are also set to announce new upcoming plans at their online conference on June 2nd
