10 more games have been added to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list.

Available from today, Xbox 360 titles The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Soulcalibur, Counter-Strike: GO and more will each be available to play on Xbox One, provided you own the original Xbox 360 disc or have downloaded the game from the Xbox store.

You can check out the full list of new titles below:

  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Aegis Wing
  • Counter-Strike: GO
  • Age of Booty
  • Space Giraffe
  • Soulcalibur
  • Skullgirls
  • Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
  • Small Arms

Microsoft has also announced plans to change the way in which it release new backwards compatible titles, altering the current monthly roll-outs to a new ‘whenever it’s ready’ system.

“Starting today, we’ll release titles as they become available, rather than a set monthly launch date,” Microsoft said in an update on Xbox Wire. “What this means for you is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles; we’ll release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.”

Reports overnight suggest that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is now available via backwards compatibility, too, although it doesn’t feature in today’s official list.

And finally, if you’ve yet to play The Witcher 2 – one of the game’s included in today’s update – you can grab a free digital copy from the Xbox Store in the UK, US, Canada, France and Germany until February 5.
