The Walking Dead has proved to be no sales slouch, racing its way to a million episode sales, Telltale has announced.
The one million figure includes full season purchases which Telltale counts as five individual episodes, however 70 per cent of transactions have been for Episode 1 only across all platforms.
“The most exciting aspect of getting off to such a great start is that this is just the beginning of the five episode series,” said Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors. “The Walking Dead fans are going to experience some really great moments in the months ahead that are uniquely influenced by the choices they make throughout the season.”
The trial versions on consoles have been downloaded 1.5 million times since April 25.
Episode 2 will be released in June.
