The UK’s best Pokémon players are heading to Hawaii this summer to compete in the 2012 Pokémon Video Game World Championships after winning their place at the 2012 Pokémon Video Game National Championships held at the NEC in Birmingham.

The winning players come from three different age divisions: Junior, Senior, and Masters. These players now have the opportunity to test their battling skills against the best Pokémon video game players from around the globe.

Junior Division

1st Ahren Bundy, 8, England

2nd Stergios Vlachopoulos,10, England

3rd Ryan Bradford, 10, England

4th Keilan Urch, 9, Wales

Senior Division

1st George Langford, 11, Turkey

2nd Maksim Cannavo, 13, Italy

3rd Anant Patel, 14, England

4th Edward Thompson, 13, England

Masters Division

1st Ben Kyriakou,19, England

2nd Daniel Whisson, 25, England

3rd Benjamin Gedaschke, 25, Germany

The 2012 Pokémon Video Game World Championships in Hawaii take place August 10-12.
