Robotic slash-em-up sequel The Surge 2 seems to have a release date announced, thanks to a listing on the Microsoft Store that has cropped up.

As spotted by WCCFTech on the Australian Microsoft Store first, the listing's release date has been set as September 24 later this year. Listings in other regions of the Microsoft Store, including the UK, were updated with the same date soon after.

The listing also reveals a pre-order bonus pack for the game, the URBN Gear Pack, which contains the following in-game items:

  • Warren’s most iconic weapon from The Surge: the well-used Cutter
  • The full-body URBN armor set
  • The URBN Judgement Axe
  • The URBN Skimmer Drone
  • The Lootscan.exe Radar Module
  • A unique online message icon.

The Surge 2 was first announced last year, and will see you hacking and slashing many robotic enemies in Jericho City, tearing the limbs off foes to use them to upgrade your own weapons and combat abilities. It's set to release for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 on September 24.
