Mind-bending adventurer The Sinking City has received a new teaser trailer ahead of its E3 showing next month.

The Frogwares-developed investigate-'em-up plucks much inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, and as you'll see from the trailer has a supernatural undercurrent running through its dark and rather damp open-world setting.

Taking place in the year 1920, The Sinking City has players plonked in the shoes of a Private Investigator, who gets his feet soggy in the mysterious waterlogged city of Oakmont, Massachusetts.

Things have obviously gone a bit Pete Tong in Oakmont, with the city being swallowed up by unprecedented floods and the minds of its residents apparently taking a turn for the worse.

Oh, and there's also a massive Cthulhu-like beast prowling the waters to boot.

The Sinking City is currently in the works for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
