A playable demo of The Sims 4 will be available later this summer letting players try out the game's new Sim creation tool ahead of its September release, EA has announced.
In a blog post detailing the developer's decision to omit swimming pools and toddlers from the base game, executive producer Rachel Franklin explained that invitations to the demo will be rolling out very soon to "a limited number of fans" to help test it before rolling out to "absolutely everyone" later in the summer.
The demo will let players experience first hand "the depth, personality and emotion that are part of your new Sims".
In addition to the Create A Sim demo, EA also has plans to release over 15 minutes of gameplay footage within the next two weeks, giving fans a closer a look at what to expect from the upcoming life sim.
The Sims 4 releases on PC on September 5.
