EA has released, via Infinite Sims, the system requirements for The Sims 3.
One of the reasons The Sims and The Sims 2 were so popular was their ability to be played on fairly entry level systems, and it appears as though the same will be true of The Sims 3. Pentium IVs or Athlon XP CPUs are the order of the day, while you’ll only need a 128MB graphics card that’s at least four generations behind the current crop.
These are minimum system requirements, so don’t expect the game to look spectacular, but at least the majority of PC owners will be able to play.
