EA has announced The Sims 3: Into The Future, the eleventh expansion pack for the popular life sim, due to release on PC and Mac on October.

The Sims 3: Into The Future sends your Sims time-hopping hundreds of years into the future, where they’ll be able to meet their descendants and get to grips with hoverboards, jetpacks and robots.

EA warns players to be wary of their Sims actions, though: whatever they choose to do in the present day can have consequences on the future.

In addition to Into The Future, Maxis also revealed The Sims 3’s Movie Stuff Pack, a smaller pack that introduces decor and clothing inspired by classic movie genres, including westerns, horror and comic book flicks.

The pack is due to go on sale this September.

Into The Future follows last month’s release of The Sims 3: Island Paradise, a new expansion offering Sims the chance to visit a new island and create their own houseboat.

The Sims 4 goes on sale early next year.
