Funcom has released a new video diary for its upcoming MMO The Secret World, overviewing how freeform skill progression will function in the game.

While levelling is non-existent, users will be able to pick up any skill and ability from the skill wheel as a way of developing their character.

The video, as Gamespot reports, explains the method behind this, in which users will have seven active abilities and seven passive abilities available to them at all times.

Additionally templates will be available to help players new to the skill wheel system, by offering them a pre-made set of abilities that vary depending on their preferred style of gameplay.

The Secret World will be launching June 19.
