Very little is known about the third in the current generation of Spy Hunter games, but some little nuggets of information have been revealed by the Rock, who happens to be staring in the movie adaptation. Speaking to MTV.com, the Rock has revealed that for the first time ever in a Spy Hunter game you will have to get out of the car and go and hunt down the bad guys.
“Before, in ‘Spy Hunter 1’ or ‘Spy Hunter 2,’ it was just about the Interceptor, the car. You’d drive or you’d fly or you’d be on the boat or things like that and you’d have all these amazing battles. But now, once the battles stop, the car stops. Now you’ve got to go find these people and you’ve got to go hunt them down. You’ve got to kill them,” said the Rock.
The Rock has also revealed that it will be his likeness appearing in the videogame, having already done some motion capture work for the game. There is no official word on a release date for Spy Hunter 3, but we can be pretty sure it will be released near the movie’s release date, some time in 2006.
