Captain Titus’ debut video game battle against the Green-skinned Orks returns this year with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition.

The brand-new remaster of the original 2011 SEGA-published action game is launching on June 10 for PC and Xbox Series gamers. The game even launches Day One on Xbox Game Pass. However, PS5 players are curiously left out.

Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition skips PS5

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition is a brand-new remaster of the original game for Xbox and PC. While the game already received a basic Anniversary Edition remaster in 2021, this new release goes a lot further.

The new release will not only bring back Titus’ entire adventure, but does so with brand-new graphics including new models, upscaled textures and proper support for 4K output.

Additionally, the new version of the game will feature remastered audio for all characters and the game’s Ork enemies now have 100 new voice lines while you slice them down. The enemy models have also been updated to match Games Workshop’s recent designs.

Alongside this, the new remaster includes completely modernised controls that bring it closer to the smoothness of its sequel as well as a refined user interface. The original game will also still be available for players who don’t like these changes.

Players will also be able to jump online in 8 vs 8 online matches to re-experience the original’s multiplayer. Of course, this means players can gain experience to unlock new weapons and armor and customise the Devastator, Assault, and Tactical Marine classes.

“Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition isn’t just a technical upgrade — it’s a thoughtful restoration,” game producer Vaidas Mikelskas said. “We aimed to preserve the spirit of the original while modernizing the experience for today’s players.

“This is more than just Master Crafted Edition, it’s a respectful dialogue between past and present, preserving what made the original special while making it shine for a new generation of players.”

This project is not handled by Space Marine 2 developer Saber interactive, although the second game is receiving a massive Siege mode update very soon. That developer has also started work on Space Marine 3, a bigger and better sequel for players to enjoy with even more large scale battles.
