Tequila Works has announced that its well-received puzzle-adventure Rime will launch on Nintendo Switch, coming on November 17 in Europe and November 14 in North America. It’ll release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for £29.99, with a physical version costing £39.99. The physical version will come with a physical copy of the game and a download code for the game’s soundtrack.

Tequila Works’ CEO and creative director, Raúl Rubio Munárriz, spoke on the confirmation saying, ‘As big fans of Nintendo, we truly appreciate our fans’ patience as Tantalus and Tequila Works continue working on RiME on Nintendo Switch; we are all committed to making sure all players get the high-quality experience they deserve’.

Rime is about a young child who wakes up on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off the coast. Throughout the game, the player has to use light, sound, perspective and time to progress. Rime is inspired by literature like The Little Prince, Studio Ghibli films and the work of Ray Harryhausen, it’s particularly notable for its stylistic take on the architecture and geometry of the mediterranean coast, with bright and vibrant colours. It’s been received well by critics, and our Colm Ahern rather liked his time with the game, particularly enjoying the visuals and the soundtrack.
