After two series of bounty hunting action and a spin-off starring Boba Fett, Disney’s gearing up for The Mandalorian Season 3.

Fans are eager for more from Pedro Pascal’s Mando and the adorable Grogu, of course. But when can we expect to see the series land on Disney+? Here’s what we know so far.

The Mandalorian Season 3 – predicted release date

Disney had actually confirmed a third season of The Mandalorian some time ago. In fact, creator Jon Favreau was said to already be writing the new season as far back as April in 2020 according to Variety. That’s six months before Season 2’s October 2020 release. It would be December of that year before we got official confirmation from Disney.

Fast forward to 2022, and at this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Favreau showcased the first footage from Season 3 to lucky attendees. During the event, Disney also confirmed The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere in February 2023.

Perhaps even more excitingly, we’ll still have more The Mandalorian adventures to come. That’s because Favreau has also confirmed that a Season 4 is already in the works.

The Mandalorian – spin-offs and more

If that wasn’t enough Mandalorian goodness for you, a pair of further spin-off series are in the works. Rosario Dawson will be reprising her role as Ahsoka Tano in her own limited show. Ahsoka began filming earlier in May of this year. The show is expected to release in 2023 and will also feature Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.

Then there’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, set after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and also expected to launch in 2023. Taking a starring role is none other than Captain Marvel and Sherlock Holmes star Jude Law.

So there’s plenty for Star Wars fans to get excited about in the near future. And that’s even before we consider the upcoming Star Wars Andor – a limited series set five years before the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That’s set to arrive on August 31st on Disney+.
