Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is up for an impressive 10 BAFTA nominations, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced.
A total of 43 games have been recognised across 17 categories.
GTA 5 comes away with nine nominations, Tearaway from Media Molecule takes eight, whilst four nominations go to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, BioShock Infinite, Super Mario 3D World, The Stanley Parable and Papers, Please.
Other games receiving nominations include BADLAND, Beyond: Two Souls, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, DEVICE 6, Tomb Raider, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Battlefield 4, Forza Motorsport 5, Gone Home, Gunpoint, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and The Room 2.
The BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in association with Dare to be Digital finalists are Project Heera: Diamond Heist, Size DOES Matter and The Unknown.
The BAFTA Games Awards will take place on Wednesday, March 12 at the Tobacco Dock, London, and will be hosted for the sixth consecutive year by comedian and gamer Dara O Briain.
Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased from the BAFTA website, and those who don’t attend will be able to follow the action live on Twitch.
