genDesign, the studio of Fumito Ueda, has started the new year with a new teaser image, and the message ‘May this be a happy and fruitful year’.
The image shows a long-haired figure sitting in a beam of light on a raised stone dais. Alongside is what appears to be the body, or at least part of the body, of a giant monster.Â
People are getting excited about this, as Ueda is known for making games with really big monsters in it, meaning it could be a teaser for a new game. The Shadow of the Colossus remake is due out later this year but Ueda and genDesign aren’t directly involved, and now that The Last Guardian is finally out (after a famously, hilariously long time in development) Ueda will be working on something new. Is this it?
