343 Industries has announced that it’ll finally return to Halo: Master Chief Collection, and fix the damn game. The developer also revealed that the game will be updated with Xbox One X enhancements.

The Halo developer discussed its plans to implement a series of fixes and upgrades during a community livestream last night. 343’s VP, Bonnie Ross, admitted that the developer needs to have better dialogue with its fans. She said that, going forward, 343 wants to communicate with fans even if a statement is ‘half-baked’ or ‘we don’t know exactly what we’re doing’.

The developer also announced a public flight testing program which is due to launch in spring 2018. This program will give fans the chance to try and test out new fixes before they’re applied to the game, hopefully making it beta than ever.

Enhancements for the Xbox One X version of the game were also discussed, but 343 wasn’t giving anything away on this front. However you feel about your own experiences with the Master Chief Collection, it’s good that the developer is finally going back to resolve the game’s myriad of issues.
