Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within 2. This five-minute trailer gives players their first look at the giggling, gruesome Guardian as she stalks Sebastian through the corridors. You probably won’t want to look over your shoulder after watching this. I don’t, that’s for sure.
This snippet of gameplay is taken from the second chapter in the game. Here we see Detective Sebastian Castellanos being chased through the corridors by a monstrous beast made up of various body parts, known simply as Guardian. This is the first time players will get a proper look at the monster, following brief glimpses in the game’s trailers up to now.
The Evil Within 2 is a direct sequel to the original, taking place three years after the events of the first game. Sebastian Castellanos is back and even more moody than before as he’s forced to return to the nightmare of the STEM world, to try and save the daughter he thought he’d lost.
The Evil Within 2 releases worldwide on Friday the 13th, this October on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
