The Game Awards 2018 winners in full

The Game Awards held its annual bash last night in the US, once again hosted by Geoff Keighley, with this marking his fifth year. You may remember they used to be called the Spike Video Game Awards, and at best were pretty cringey. Not so much anymore, fortunately.

This year's event was pretty decent; we even got Phil Spencer, Shawn Layden, and Reggie Fils-Aime on stage together saying lovely things about the games industry. Ah, the bromance. 

Sony Santa Monica Studio had reason to break out the party hats though, as God of War walked away with the gong for Game of the Year. It faced some pretty stiff competition, mind, including Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2 (which picked up multiple awards, including Best Narrative), Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World, and Celeste.
