The Fall Part 2: Unbound will launch on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch on February 13, Over the Moon announced today. The Metroidvania-flavoured epic advances the story of rogue AI A.R.I.D., as she continues her compelling quest of self-preservation.

Part 2 of the planned trilogy once again embraces classic point-and-click-style trappings, combining puzzle solving with adventure in one sci-fi-scented package. As well as using your noggin to progress through the game, players can also take advantage of A.R.I.D.’s new programming, allowing her to possess new hosts.

As such, you’ll now be joined by three new faces: A posh butler, a sultry service companion, and One, a mysterious combat drone. Speaking in a press release, Over the Moon says it’s aiming to offer a deeper integration of story and gameplay with The Fall Part 2.

‘Our newest trailer highlights a strange and unsettling section of the game, during which players possess a robot designed to pleasure humans, only twist and manipulate her into hurting others to obtain their goal. We want this game to shock you, excite you, make you laugh, thematically challenge you and put you in situations you have never been in before. It’s our highest goal that video games can change people for the better, and The Fall part 2: Unbound is as rich with interesting ideas as it is fun to play,’ said Over the Moon CEO, John Warner.
