Team17’s pixel art-coated sequel The Escapists 2 has received a dazzling launch trailer marking the release of the game for Switch today. The game is available to snap up right now on the Nintendo Store for £19.99.

The Escapists 2 does exactly what it says on the tin, and can be played solo or with some mates in tow thanks to the all-new drop-in/drop-out cooperative spilt-screen mode. You can also plump for online multiplayer co-op or versus if you prefer, and tinker with a bevy of customisation options.

Elsewhere, players can enjoy a host of new ways to make their escape from the various multi-layered prisons on offer, which require intricate planning, while combat has also been beefed up to allow you to lock onto your targets, block, and perform light and heavy attacks.

Check out The Escapists 2 launch trailer below. It’s worth remembering the game is also available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.Â
