Skyrim’s 1.7 update is now out of beta on PC, and will be automatically applied to all owners when they boot up Steam.
The patch offers a few stability optimisations and fixes to memory usage, as well as fixing a few crashes.
Bethesda says it will submit the patch to Microsoft and Sony for certification this week, meaning we should see it released (provided it passes submission) for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 within the next few weeks.
The PlayStation 3 version of the patch will also include Skyrim’s 1.6 updates, including mounted combat.
Meanwhile, PC and PS3 owners still haven’t heard about when the game’s first DLC pack, the 7/10 scoring Dawnguard, will be available.
