Ubisoft’s upcoming online RPG The Division will let players create up to four different characters on a single account, it’s been confirmed.

The system appears to function similarly to Destiny, allowing players to jump between characters at any time by selecting which one they want from the main menu.

“You can have more than one character in The Division,” associate lead UI artist Lars Vincent explained in a video released earlier today. “You can have up to four characters running at the same time. You just have to choose in the start menu which one you want and go with that.

“It’s pretty cool because you can play with your friends at different levels at different times. So if one of my friends starts playing The Division I can join him, I can create a new character, help him out, I can show him the ropes.”

The Division launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 8, with a public beta due to go live on Xbox One in December. The beta will follow on PS4 and PC early next year.
