The Division currently has 9.5 million registered users, Ubisoft has announced, with “active” players said to be playing the game for an average of 3 hours per day.
The game exceeded Ubisoft’s expectations, the publisher said, highlighting its record-breaking launch as the most successful new video game IP in history. It is also the fastest-selling game ever released by Ubisoft. Actual sales figures for the game have not been disclosed.
The Division launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC in early March, and received its first major post-launch update last month. The first premium expansion is due to release on Xbox One next month, before arriving on other platforms 30 days later.
