The Division’s two upcoming DLC expansion packs have been delayed to let Ubisoft focus on fixing issues with the core game.

The two expansions – ‘Survival’ and ‘Last Stand’ – had previously been due to release this summer and winter respectively. However, Survival now won’t launch until later in the year, with Last Stand pushed back to early 2017.

Ubisoft won’t give exact dates, but it promises that Survival will release “before the end of the calendar year”.

In the meantime, developer Ubisoft Massive is working on releasing a major new update in October that is focused entirely “on bug fixing, game balancing and other improvements”. The update – titled Update 1.4 – will be free and released simultaneously across all platforms.

Here’s the list of what it’s planning to fix:

  • Fixing bugs, including those listed in our Known Issues as well as many other ones
  • Making loot drops more relevant to the player
  • Enemy difficulty and time to kill
  • Gear Sets and weapons rebalancing
  • Solo player experience
  • Dark Zone and PvP balancing
  • Quality of life additions based on community suggestions (such a weapon skins no longer taking inventory space)

“We want to take this opportunity to thank you, our community, for being so openly passionate about the game,” said Ubisoft. “Our passion is what unites us and allows us to build a better game together! We remain committed to delivering the best experience possible, and will constantly be looking for your feedback as we shape the future of The Division.”

The Division’s first expansion, Underground, debuted on Xbox One and PC in June, before hitting PS4 earlier this month.
