Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will roll out a year's worth of free post-launch content, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced.

The updates will feature everything from new Episodes, additional narratives and missions, plus a wealth of extra modes featuring PvP and PvE experiences and new specialisations. In regards to the latter, players can expect a new signature weapon and skill tree as part of the package, so there's plenty to sink your teeth into.

Three Episodes are planned throughout the year for The Division 2, the first kicking off this summer with D.C. Outskirts: Expedition. Following this will be Pentagon: The Last Castle in autumn, with the third, as-yet untitled Episode rounding out the first chapter of The Division 2's story in the winter.

Furthermore, Ubisoft has confirmed it's offering a Year 1 Pass for those who want to get their hands on new content sharpish. The pass will offer access to the following:

  • Seven-day early access to All Year 1 Episodes narrative content.
  • Instant access to all Year 1 Specializations as they release.
  • Eight Classified Assignments revealing more about the fall of D.C.
  • Exclusive cosmetics and additional in-game activities, such as base of operations projects and bounties.

The Division 2 is due for release on March 15 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and there's an Open Beta going live from tomorrow.
