Bandai Namco has announced a release date for The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes, with the game launching on October 22, 2021 on consoles and PC.

The news was confirmed during last night’s Summer Game Fest Kickoff Show, and means we’ll be able to experience the latest entry in the horror anthology series just in time for Halloween.

A new story trailer also unveiled the terrifying Underworld Creatures your cast of characters will be mostly looking to avoid, lest they meet a grisly fate. You can watch that below.

There’s additionally a special ‘Pazuzu Edition’ of the game available for pre-order now on the Bandai Namco store with a raft of extras. Those goodies include a 10cm Underworld Creature figurine, an exclusive art print, a sheet of stickers and an Eclipse pin. Be sure to turn around before you totally affix it to yourself.

The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes launches on October 22 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out some additional gameplay footage over here, if you fancy.
