The Crew 2 release date announced

Ubisoft has staple-gunned a release date to open-world racer The Crew 2, confirming the sequel will launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on June 29. What’s more, the game will also come equipped with support for Sony’s 4K-powered behemoth, PS4 Pro.

The Crew 2 features a fully revamped USA setting to cruise around in, allowing you to soak up an authentic American motorsports experience that sees racers going solo or teaming up with a friend. It’s not just cars up for grabs either; the game allows you to test your might on land, sea, and air, as you seek to get your mitts on the latest turbo-charged bikes, boats, and aircraft.

All in all there’s four unique motorsports categories to take part in, namely street racing, off-road, pro racing, and freestyle, with players able to select from a diverse set of options and vehicle types.

In addition to the standard version of The Crew 2, Ubisoft is also offering up a special Motor Edition of the highly anticipated sequel, which features extra content plus the opportunity to play the game three days early.

• A customised American The Crew 2 license plate that comes in a high-quality collector box, an exclusive Steelbook®, the official Roadmap of the game and four original stickers

Finally, those who pre-order The Crew 2 will be able to get their hands on the Legendary Motors Pack, which throws in a bunch of flashy vehicles such as the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016 and the HARLEY-DAVIDSON® IRON 883TM  2017.
