UPDATE 16:00: The bundle has just been confirmed for the PlayStation 4 as well and will run at 60FPS in 4K for PlayStation Pro, for release on the same date – February 18, 2020.

Oiginal story follows: The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle has now got a trailer, and it is splendid (via VGC).

In 2017, a remastered bundle for PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta and Vanquish popped up, and rumour had it that it would be headed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, publisher Sega kept mum on the possibility of remasters for the two titles and the story faded into oblivion. Last week, remasters for Bayonetta and Vanquish rose to the surface of the Microsoft Store, and what’s more, they would release with support for 4K resolutions at 60fps on the Xbox One X. The VideoGamer office was inconsolable, I tell you.

Set to launch on February 18, 2020, one could also buy the two remasters in a tenth anniversary bundle. Though PlatinumGames and Microsoft haven’t officially acknowledged its existence, there is a placeholder website and a trailer that was posted to the bundle’s store listing.

The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle trailer involves a lot of swishing and swiping, leaping and bounding, hacking and slashing, and it all looks magnificent. The remastered bundle should attract new players as well as those who fondly remember the classics, and these titles will be compatible with Project Scarlett too. Bet you never thought you’d hear “Vanquish” and “next-gen” in the same sentence.

The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle will come to Xbox One on February 18, 2020. Watch the trailer below.
