The Bard’s Tale IV Director’s Cut heads to consoles and PC from August 27

InXile Entertainment has announced that the Directors Cut of its 2018 RPG The Bard's Tale IV will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC at the end of next month.

The Director's Cut was announced back in Feburary and promises an entire new chapter of the game, more character creation options, additional difficulty settings, massive updates to the game's engine, as well as including all the DLC. It'll also mark the game launching on consoles for the first time.

The RPG will first release on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 digital storefronts – as well as being made available as part of Xbox Games Pass for both console and PC – on August 27. There'll then be a physical Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release a week later, on September 6.

Players who already own The Bard's Tale IV on PC will recieve the Director's Cut content as a free update. Here's a trailer to celebrate:
