When will Thank Goodness You’re Here! release?
The game will release at 5 PM BST on August 1, 2024. This means there’s only a short time before you can experience the full game for yourself. Thank Goodness You’re Here! gameplay explained
Developer Coal Supper and publisher Panic call the game a “comedy slapformer” that takes place in the town of Barnsworth. As a travelling salesman, your goal is to meet the mayor of a Northern English town after running into bizarre locals for a series of increasingly odd jobs. As you clear them, new areas of the town will be available to explore. The fully voiced dialogue carries conversations filled with humour. Expect interesting dialects to be represented as well. Critical reception has been positive, with the game sitting at an impressive 88 on Metacritic. If you’re wondering what its hand-drawn animation looks like, check out its latest trailer.
Does Thank Goodness You’re Here! have a demo?
Yes, you can check out a portion of the game before you purchase it. You can find them on the official Steam page, Players also got to check it out during its Next Fest Demo back in June. It also has a 15% discount till 12th August on the Nintendo Store. As for the PlayStation version, you can wishlist it on the PlayStation Store. At the time of writing, it doesn’t look like you can get a demo on other platforms. You’ll have to hop on a PC to try the game out right away. But since it’s not a particularly demanding title, you could try it on PC before moving to your platform of choice once the game is released.
