The First Descendant is a fantastic new game that has quickly gained a huge fanbase following its launch earlier this month. Since its debut, Nexon has done a good job frequently updating TFD to improve the experience, but tomorrow we’re set to get the biggest update yet as it contains Luna as a new playable character. As for Luna, there has been some controversy over her upcoming arrival as critics have argued she comes with an Overwatch 2 replica gun. This is another accusation of plagiarism following on from the usage of icons similar to Destiny 2, but, regardless, most players are extremely excited for the popular NPC to become playable.

The release date for Luna in The First Descendant is July 31st. She and update 1.05 were both originally intended to come out on August 1st, but Nexon announced on socials that they have bumped the launch date up by one day.
She is the first new playable character to join the game since its launch earlier this month. Her arrival was part of TFD’s roadmap for 2024, and there is more to anticipate for the month of August with the arrival of Season 1.
When does Luna come out in The First Descendant?
The release time for when Luna will come out in The First Descendant is 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST on July 31st.
Per a news post on Nexon’s official website, maintenance for update 1.05 is scheduled to start on July 31st at 12AM PT/3AM ET/8AM BST. It is scheduled to end at the hours listed above, but there’s always the possibility a delay could occur.
Unfortunately, while undergoing maintenance, TFD will be unavailable to play. We will update this article if anything official changes.

TFD update 1.05 details
Aside from the arrival of a new playable character, there is plenty else to anticipate for update 1.05. One of the most exciting aspects is some amazing skins coming with the update.
Luna will get a beach attire that simply looks gorgeous, meanwhile, there will also be two variants of Ult Valby. One of the Ult variants is crystal-clear blue while the other is charismatic red. You can check out the upcoming attires down below:
In addition to the above, we are also getting new skins for Viessa, Bunny, and Jayber. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the roadmap also says we are getting a new colossus, Gluttony.
