Developer Enhance Experience Inc has dropped a launch trailer to celebrate Tetris Effect: Connected dropping onto Nintendo Switch today.

Naturally, the game’s been adapted and optimised for Nintendo’s handheld hybrid. There’s all 30+ stages of the game’s Journey and the ten Effect modes. There’s also full cooperative and competitive cross-platform multiplayer as added with the recent Connected expansion.

Exclusive to this version is also the ability to play in several configurations. You can play with both Joy-Con in the grip, one held horizontally or the Pro Controller. There’s also an extra vibration function, as you do, that promises to add an “extra layer of sensation.” Oo-err.

You can check out a trailer for the Switch launch below, which taps into the game’s Tetris Effect title and where the phrase comes from. Lovely. As a special bonus, the studio is also offering 25% off the game’s soundtrack on Bandcamp with the code ‘switch25’.

It’s been a while since we heard from Tetsuya Mizuguchi, who was behind this game as well as Rez. Last year, he teased that their studio’s next project would be a “totally new adventure with synesthesia”, Perhaps we’ll hear more on that soon? Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, Tetris Effect: Connected is out today on the Nintendo Switch.
