Enhance and the Tetris Company have announced that they’re bringing Tetris Effect: Connected to the Nintendo Switch on October 8.

The Switch version will include the complete single player experience including the 30 stage Journey mode and 10 Effect mode stages. It’ll also include the recent Connected multiplayer expansion, and support cross-platform multiplayer with the PlayStation, Xbox, PC and VR versions. It’ll also support local multiplayer with up to four players on the same screen. There’s also a Classic Score Attack mode, with the board given a retro makeover and classic NES-style ruleset.

The launch is nicely timed with the arrival of the new OLED model Nintendo Switch. Developer Enhance hopes it’ll provide the perfect test run of the upgraded system’s new OLED screen and improved speakers.

Tetris Effect first launched on the PlayStation 4 in 2018. A PC version followed a few months later, then late last year saw the release of multiplayer expansion Tetris Effect: Connected as a timed Xbox Series X|S launch exclusive. The Connected expansion comes to the PlayStation 4, PC and VR versions of the game next week, on August 18.
