Enhance and the Tetris Company have announced Tetris Effect: Connected will launch as a free update to the game on PS4, PC and Oculus Quest on August 18.

The update, which first released as an Xbox exclusive back in November, adds several new multiplayer modes to the 2018 game. These include Connected where players team up against an AI controlled boss, Zone Battle and the classic 1v1 Score Attack.

In addition, an update to the game on all formats will add cross-platform play, a new Spectator mode and more features revealed last month. The update will also coincide with the game’s debut on Steam on PC, having been an Epic Games Store exclusive up until this point.

Those who pick up the Steam version in the first two weeks will not only get 25% off, but they’ll also get seven themed avatars, eleven PC desktop wallpapers and a seven-track soundtrack sampler of songs from the game.

Tetris Effect: Connected launches on August 18 on Steam and will be downloadable as a free update to the game on PlayStation 4, Oculus Quest and PC.
