The TOCA series has become renowned for delivering realistic looking crashes and collisions and TOCA 3 is set to up the anti with a new hugely advanced version of the series’ proprietary Terminal Damage Engine, which is said to offer “100 times the level of damage effect detail.“

As well as delivering much improved damage visuals which show windscreens shattering and spoilers breaking, the Terminal Damage Engine will more importantly model more realistic damage physics which will ultimately affect the way your car handles. Together with more realistic physics the graphics will show incremental amounts of damage as bodywork realistically deforms.

Realistic damage modelling and tyre ware is present on all cars in the race, making long term races more tactical as the fastest car may not be the first to the finish; those who choose the right tactics with pit stops may well take the trophy.

TOCA Race driver 3 is looking great, and for more information check out our recent preview of the game. TOCA Race Driver 3 is set for release in February 2006 on PC, PS2 and Xbox.
