Temple Run 2 has been downloaded over 50 million times in just 13 days, breaking the record previously held by Angry Birds Space of 50 million downloads in 35 days, Imangi Studios has announced.

Released for iOS on January 17, Temple Run 2 reached six million downloads in just 24 hours, topping the App Store chart. The game later went on to top the Google Play and Amazon Marketplace charts.

“Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us,” said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. “The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time.”
