Temple Run 2 racked up a staggering 20 million downloads in just four days of availability on the App Store, developer Imangi Studios has announced.

The game shot to the No.1 spot on the Free App chart after just eight hours, and is the No.3 Top Grossing App.

“The response from fans has been overwhelming,” said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. “We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.”

In under one week, Temple Run 2 has accumulated over 210 million sessions, equating to over 1,775 years of gameplay.

Temple Run 2 will be released on Google Play store later this week.

It’s no surprise to see Temple Run 2 doing so well when you consider the first game has been downloaded over 170 million times across all formats.
