Telltale has today announced that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season (working title) is in development for a 2018 release. Whilst no details have been confirmed about the plot, we do know that the story once again focuses on Clementine following her experiences in The New Frontier.

Telltale confirmed that the fourth and (reportedly) final season will focus on Clementine as the lead protagonist, allowing players to step back into the shoes of the ‘fan favourite character’. Personally I preferred Lee, for all his flaws. But what the heck. This means that the story will probably deviate away from the other co-lead in The New Frontier, Javier. Thankfully.

‘It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart’, said the voice of Clementine, Melissa Hutchison. Hutchison who is playing the role for the last time having voiced Clementine since 2012 added, ‘It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you’.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season will be  out in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, PC (Win/Mac), iOs and Android. Additional platforms are yet to be announced.
