Bandai Namco has announced that Eliza, the pre-order bonus only character, is now available to all. Just not for free; you can buy Eliza for £3.99. Eliza is an apparently 1000 year old vampire, who originally starred in the free-to-play Tekken Revolution on the PS3 back in 2013.

Also announced is the release of Taiko no Tatsujin items as DLC downloads. There are ten free pieces of customisation content themed around and featuring Taiko characters. Taiko no Tatsujin is a series of Bandai Namco produced rhythm games, just in case you didn’t know. In addition to this content, the Tekken season pass will bring back Tekken Bowl in August. This time it will be Ultimate Tekken bowl. Everyone loves them some bowling.

Winter 2017 sees the introduction of Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard. Bandai has also offered some new info on Geese’s background: ‘As the CEO of Howard Connection, Geese is a powerful man who controls South Town from the shadows. Well-versed in the ancient martial arts of Japan, he is skilled in reversal techniques and using his opponents’ own attacks against them. His evil charisma proves to be an overwhelming presence. Intrigued by the Devil Gene, Geese decided to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament’. So I probably wouldn’t laugh at the name Geese if I were you.

Bandai Namco has confirmed that the season pass will introduce another new guest character in Spring 2018, though no new details have been revealed yet. I’d really like Terry Bogard, just so he can kick Geese’s ass again (and again).

Tekken 7 is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
