It seems to be quite the day for unusual roster additions to beat-em-ups as Namco Bandai announced today that they’re teaming up with Square Enix to bring Final Fantasy XV protagonist Noctis to the King of Iron Fist Tournament in an upcoming DLC for Tekken 7.

Revealing the news via trailer, Noctis Lucis Caelum, to give him his full title, will come with his own stage based around the Hammerhead Station, and as per the description will be wielding ‘his signature Engine Blade’ which seems a bit unfair, but then this is also a series that famously features fighting bears and at least one character who’s a literal devil so it’s all relative, I guess.

There’s no specific date for when this DLC drops, but Bandai Namco give a tentative ‘Spring 2018’ timeframe for its release. Tekken 7 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Â
