Team17 has announced that it continues to achieve great success on Xbox LIVE Arcade, with the recent release of Alien Breed Evolution, the sci-fi shooter based on the cult Amiga original, giving the independent developer a vice-like grip on the global Xbox LIVE Arcade chart.
Alien Breed Evolution achieved a chart position of No.2, only beaten to the top last Christmas by Team17’s very own Worms 2 Armageddon.
“Our mission is to deliver high quality, excellent value digital download titles which we can publish independently in partnership with the major platform holders. The success of these titles underlines that capability and is a fantastic achievement for the studio, which celebrates 20 years later this year,” said Martyn Brown, joint CEO, Team17.
The original Worms for XBLA spent over 30 weeks in the XBLA Top 10 and has now been downloaded in excess of 2.5 million times. Worms 2 Armageddon and Alien Breed Evolution are available now, each priced 800 MS Points.
